The priority for family healing comes up often for my BodyTalk clients. We all have self healing to do, but sometimes family healing is what’s needed first to heal from our illnesses, emotions, beliefs, pain, or say money issues. Some of the time we even need to go back to our ancestors to find the root cause to whatever issue we are dealing with.
Do you wish you had better communication, more joy, love, or simply just a better relationship with your family? Did you just have a baby and you, your little one, and rest of the family are having a hard time healing from a traumatic birth? Or perhaps a death in the family or tragic situation happened that your family is having a hard time healing from and is causing issues within the family as a whole?
We have a strong connection with our family and because of this connection we easily take on emotions, illnesses, pain, beliefs, etc from our family members. Even pets are apart of the family matrix and are linked to the health of their owners.
BodyTalk addresses family healing by it’s patterning- or Matrix. This matrix includes the immediate group (pets too!) and the ancestors. The family matrix also includes a maternal and paternal matrix holder, which might not always be your mother and father holding these energies for the family. It may be the grandparents, someone else you are genetically related to, or maybe even someone not genetically related to you at all. Sometimes in a BodyTalk session it comes up as a priority to repair the family matrix on a physical, emotional, mental, and/or spiritual level so that you can function better in your environment with less stress and also release an illness, belief, emotion, etc your family matrix has passed on to you. Sometimes new matrix holders need to be placed in the maternal and/or paternal role.
Do you find that you are inheriting issues that your mom, dad, grandma, etc experienced?
There are many inherited influences that come through the direct genetic lineage of our ancestors. This might be physical characteristics likes baldness, hereditary illnesses, trauma, or traits like overeating, gambling, or alcoholism. Through BodyTalk, inherited issues can be healed or stopped before it even affects you and your family.

Did you know we have THREE Brains? Yes that’s right.
There is the obvious Head brain.
The other two brains are the Heart and Gut because they too can learn, process, store, change, and adapt just like the head brain.
Behavioral modelling expert and author Marvin Oka states:
“They have their own intrinsic nervous systems. They’ve got neurons. They’ve got the whole range of [capabilities] in order to do complex adaptive processes...Basically, if it can learn, it’s a brain.”
The Head brain is the master at processing, thinking, creativity, perception, and cognition. It also runs the autonomic nervous system and processes basic everyday problems. When our head brain takes the lead, in a balanced way, we are fully able to express our creativity.
The Heart brain is the master of emotion. It processes emotions, feelings, and values and sends messages to the head about how the body is feeling. When we learn how to think with our hearts, we are more fully able to understand others and come to a place of harmony. Also, when we go to our heart brain for guidance, instead of our head brain, we are able to go to a place of calm to find the clarity we seek.
The Gut brain is actually the first to develop. It is responsible for digestion, mood, health, and our core identity (who we are and aren’t). It is also our core place of protection and courage. The gut brain plays a major role in regulating emotional stress disorders and prevents us from swallowing food during times of danger and stress. When people say they can’t move past something it’s a gut issue. Forgiveness is also a gut issue because something has trespassed our boundaries and offended our safety or core identity. When we listen to our gut brain for guidance we are able to listen to our gut instincts that tells us when a situation is not safe.
The three brains are in constant communication with each other.
As Marvin Oka also states:
“My head has a narrative, ‘I should… my rules are… my logic says’… but my heart really wants to do something else. Still my gut says ‘Uh, not safe.’ As far
as we can tell, the information highway between the three brains is the vagus nerve. 70-80% of nerve relays go up, not down. That’s why, when your gut and your heart are already in a reaction, its hard to talk yourself out of it.”
Our emotions affect all three brains and can get stuck in any of these brains, as well as elsewhere in the body. When the three brains are in balance we can bring in and process information more appropriately and from there make better decisions and choices.
A quick and easy way to balance the three brains is the Corticies Technique. To learn this simple technique click here. Or contact us by clicking here to set up an appointment to get a BodyTalk and/or Reiki Session, which are both healing systems that focus on balancing and increasing communication within the three brains. Have you ever wondered about your spirit animal(s) and
what message(s) they have for you?
Since I was young, I remember being fascinated with spirit animals. I would spend hours reading about spirit animals and their many possible messages.
When I was in my 20's, on a solo camping trip I had an amazing encounter with one of my spirit animals. There wasn't another person around for at least a mile. It was late at night and I awoke to deer running away frantically from what I think was a mountain lion, just outside my tent. I was terrified not knowing what the mountain lion's intentions were. Was he coming for me next? I will never forget what happened next. Suddenly, a beautiful white Horse appeared and circled my tent three times. He said to me "Don't be afraid, you are safe and protected." My fears instantly went away and I fell back asleep not waking up until the morning light started appearing.
Since seeing the white horse, I have not only seen and heard messages for me from other spirit animals but for my clients as well. When I give in person and distant energy balancing sessions I invite in any spirit animals who have messages or simply want to be present.
During one Distant Energy Balancing Session for a client of mine a tiger came into the session. She had severe back pain and depression. The tiger came in wanting to help the client with strength and courage to help release anger she had stored in her back which was causing a lot of her pain and depression. When she was able to fully release the stored anger her back pain went away and her depression improved significantly.
I love how these messages come through so differently for each client and the powerful healing they bring to sessions. Animals are wonderful teachers. They can help us feel more connected and can even help guide us when making empowering decisions in our lives. Animals have many healing abilities, messages, and gifts for us that are just waiting to be heard and received.
